FIND THE ROOTS OF GOLD. FEAST ON ITS FRUITS. Explore the ruins of a forsaken forest. Slay the beasts of the mist. Find the treasure that seeps from the earth.
This atmospheric 3D hack n’ slash is about wandering the ruins of castles scattered throughout a mist-choked forest. Health potions creep your vitality ever higher, swords clash against shields, foes crumble under your might or smite you where you stand. The game walks the line between eerie and whimsical at times, featuring such strange things as a helpful giant snail to introduce you to the mechanics – that you must destroy in order to start the game.

I developed this project as a major work for high school. I coded the entire game, and made all the 3D models, music, and sound effects. I made my own textures for the trees and the roots of gold itself, while the textures of the grass clovers and stone were modified from images sourced online.
